collecting colours over a cup of coffee...

If you are a lover of printed words, you would know how much of your time is taken by books alone. Then one day, sooner or later, you discover a huge vacuum within that you know next to nothing about other art forms. This blog is an attempt to fulfil one such lacunae in the art of painting. We intend to look up a random painting and upload it with a link here every day whilst having our daily cuppa coffee. In this way at least we hope to be better acquainted with colours, colourers and the schools than what we are now.If you wish to be a part, you know where to shout.

I know I am just shouting out my ignorance, but I got start somewhere, right ?

Thanks for the replies, I will accept the form the does not exactly follow function.

Lemme try to go with the flow. But, you guys must know that it is a big difference if an engineer is a viewing a piece of art. We drool at an elegant math proof, cry with joy at efficiency, just die to get thinks running. I sometimes cannot sleep if I do not understand some mechanism... and when it finally makes sense, it is so darn beautiful. So, you see, we see art in engineering, but just that everybody else just thinks "Oh yeah... that train goes fast."

But here, I am victim, OK. Dont deny my victimhood. ;)

btw, you guys are doing a great job. This blog should be getting way more attention that this. Will try to advertise pigmentium.

The layered/diffusing colors are amazing... me thinks this one looks a little like a nuke mushroom cloud. I think she used her style of working on oil on raw canvas very well here.

Me thinks.

does anyone know what the title is supposed to mean?

Thanks for your kind words about our assorts, we hardly are looking for what you term as advertisement. Would appreciate if things stay undisturbed as of now.

I am at loss to say anything to your shouting ignorances. Claiming victim hood here isn’t unfortunately going to solve your problem. Unfortunately in this place, It looks like you are your own victim.
About all the engineering art-If you are so enthusiastic about art I can only suggest changing the line of work. But I have a hunch it might not work out for you, do however think about it.
Good luck
